Ear lobe repair is a simple, safe, minimally invasive reconstructive surgical procedure done to restore the appearance of ear lobes that have been torn or elongated due to trauma or piercing or pull by heavy earrings.
It is a one-day procedure taking 30mins to 45mins or even less for one ear.
Both the ears can be done on the same day.
The procedure is started by a local anesthesia to make the area numb or free of pain.
Mild swelling and redness is present that is taken care by painkillers and subsides within 2-3days.
AFTER CARE TO BE TAKEN?
The dressing is kept in place and the area is kept clean and dry for 2-3days.
A topical antibiotic is applied for the next 7 days.
You are called for follow up after 1 week when the suture removal is also done.
